William H. Wright, Co I

William H. Wright was 20 years old when he enlisted in Company I of the 18th Ohio Volunteers. He entered service as a Private, but was promoted to Sergeant shortly after the Company was formed in 1861. He was wounded at the Battle of Stones River, Murfreesboro, Tennessee on December 31, 1862. He succumbed from his wounds on February 7, 1863. He is buried in the Stones River National Cemetery.
